CIAAP conducts seminar on vegetable production

On request of inhabitants of the project region, CIAAP conducted a seminar on vegetable production on the CIAAP model project-site in cooperation with the city agriculture office of the islands capitol. The 70 participants were provided with a theoretic background which could be immediately visualized in CIAAP`s vegetable greenhouse.

Present development

CIAAP supports local farmers in realizing a compost facility on farmers fields. After initial help and continual consultation, 12 farmers were able to complete their individual compost pits. In cooperation with local agricultural extentionists CIAAP supports the farmers in implementing compost in present production systems of the farmers.
